Introduction Did you ever want to live in a shell? Boxed Turtles do! This is a type of turtle that does not have many predators because they hide in a shell. Hope you enjoy these facts about Boxed Turtles!

What is a Boxed Turtle? They are about 9 inches long. They have a hard shell. They are reptiles.

Where do boxed turtles live? Boxed turtles live in woodlands. They live in the eastern United States. They also live in old fields.

What do Boxed Turtles look like? They have shells. They have no teeth. They come in all different colors.

What are behaviors of a Boxed Turtle? They sit in the sun. They hide in a shell.

What do Boxed Turtles eat and how do eat and hunt? They use a beak to hunt. They eat mushrooms and fruits. They also eat small insects.

What predators do Boxed Turtles have and how do they protect themselves? They have not many predators. They hide in their long shell.
