Many people argue about when life begins, but it might be more enlightening to consider where it begins-in God Himself!

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! I. GOD VALUES LIFE MORE THAN CONVENIENCE.

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! Of the 47 million plus abortions done in America: -Less than 1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest. -7% of abortions occur because of potential health problems regarding either the mother or child. -92% of abortions occur for social reasons (i.e. the child is unwanted or inconvenient).

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! Psalm 139:13-16: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! Jeremiah 1:5-“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! -Between 12 and 28 days after conception, the heart begins to beat. -At 4 to 6 weeks brain waves can be measured. -By the eighth week the skeleton, fingerprints, circulatory system and muscular system are complete.

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! II. PROTECT LIFE BY RELYING ON GOD

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! -Pray. -Teach what the Bible says about God’s view of babies in the womb. -Live out our faith.

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! -Volunteer at the Center for Pregnancy Choices or Christmas Children’s Village or other organization. -Donate to them. -Contact your legislators and vote for those who are against abortion.

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! -Don’t give up on our society. Galatians 6:9-“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! -Believe that God will be victorious. 1 Corinthians 15:56-“Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! “Unless God has raised you up for this very thing, you will be worn out by the opposition of men and devils. But if God be for you, who can be against you? Are all of them together stronger than God?

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN! Let’s stop parents from having to think about what might have been and help them to enjoy what can be!
