TEACHER’S ASSISTANT CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT NOTES By: Will Brown

SCENARIO  Teachers of all grade levels and areas of curriculum have a difficult job  In addition to being the person responsible for making sure a child learns material, they must also manage classroom or gym behavior.  Sometimes in the heat of education, teachers may forget everything that happened with their students and could use an easy way to help them keep record of classroom behavior.

BEHAVIORAL RECORD KEEPING IMPORTANCE.  Keeping track of behavior can help teachers to remember and reward consistency in good behavior.  Bad behavior can be analyzed to see if there are any patterns or outside factors as to why the behavior occurs.  When parents want to know how their child is doing, you have exact and detailed information in which to let them know their child’s progress.

THE SOLUTION  Introducing an application that can help teachers stay organized with student behavior.  “Teacher’s Assistant Classroom Management Notes” is an application made available for Apple products including the IPhone, Mac- Book’s, and IPad

COST $$$  A lite version allowing the recording of only 5 students is free for a trial run  The professional version costs $5.99

HOW TO USE IT  Students information is entered into the application to make a profile that will keep track of their behavior  The class you have them for and also their parents contact information is able to be added and have easily on file.

HOW TO USE IT PART 2  The application allows you to enter quantitative data on students behavior food or bad  The date and time of the action are recorded as well  Good actions gain students positive points, while negative actions merit negative points

BENEFITS  This application is an very inexpensive way to have a detailed file of a student  Other teachers who have the application can share data with each other to help determine pattern behavior that may occur in multiple classes  The application has a randomize feature that allows non-biased mixing up of students to work in groups.
