MODERATION OF SCHOOL BASED ASSESSMENT IN THE WESTERN CAPE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

INTRODUCTION To obtain a NSC a learner must: (a)Complete the programme requirements for Grades 10, 11 and 12 separately and obtain the distinct Broad Topics and associated Topics (b)(b) Comply with the internal assessment requirements for Grades 10, 11 and 12 and the external assessment (SBA) requirements of Grade 12 as contemplated in the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements for the subject Dramatic Arts and Dramatiese Kunste

Weighting of SBA SBA counts 25% of the final mark for subjects without a practical component The annual programme of assessment requires learners to complete 7 Assessment Tasks

Moderation Framework Provincial Standard setting Cluster 1 st Moderation Tasks 1-4 Cluster 2 nd Moderation Tasks 5, 6 and 7 Moderation at school level of Tasks 1,2,3 and 4 Moderation at school level of Tasks 5,6 and 7

File –Learner Assessment Evidence. Administration. File 100% Educators moderate in pairs CA moderate 3% across schools SCP moderates 3% Discussion and feedback to schools COMPLETE COMPUTERISED MARK SHEETS
