Instant Recipe Finder Laura C. B. Challenge #

Problem Do you know how it feels to be starving and dinner is not ready on time? That happens a lot to me because my mother uses valuable cooking time looking for a recipe in her recipe box. It takes so much time that our family has dinner very late every night. Do you know how it feels to be starving and dinner is not ready on time? That happens a lot to me because my mother uses valuable cooking time looking for a recipe in her recipe box. It takes so much time that our family has dinner very late every night.

Solutions The first thing you could do is put all of your recipes on a computer and search them when you want them. The first thing you could do is put all of your recipes on a computer and search them when you want them. Another thing you could do is put all of your recipes in a binder and flip through the whole binder trying to find one recipe. Another thing you could do is put all of your recipes in a binder and flip through the whole binder trying to find one recipe. The last thing you could do is use my new invention, the Instant Recipe Finder! The last thing you could do is use my new invention, the Instant Recipe Finder!

How it works I created a recipe box that has 150 different slots, and an iPad like screen on the front of the box. When you put a new recipe in the box, you enter the name of the recipe and which slot you are putting it in on the screen. When you need a recipe you just say the name of the recipe and it pops out of the box. I created a recipe box that has 150 different slots, and an iPad like screen on the front of the box. When you put a new recipe in the box, you enter the name of the recipe and which slot you are putting it in on the screen. When you need a recipe you just say the name of the recipe and it pops out of the box.

My Sketch

My Prototype I built my prototype by covering a cardboard box with tin foil. Next, I covered some of the box with SARAN wrap. Then I wrote the name of a recipe and the slot that it was in on the SARAN wrap. I built my prototype by covering a cardboard box with tin foil. Next, I covered some of the box with SARAN wrap. How to Improve One way I thought to improve my invention was to add a marker that marks the slot that the recipe was in. That way, you won’t put it back in the wrong slot.
