HS Credit Classes taken in Middle School Must pass the course each semester Must pass the final exam at the end of the 2 nd semester Students who meet these criteria, by earning an A, B, C, or D, will receive HS credit (except for Advanced English) and will have these grades count towards their MCPS high school grade point average (GPA).

Student Service Learning (SSL) Student Service Learning (SSL) Students must earn 75 hours of SSL to graduate from any Public High School in Maryland. Students may earn SSL hours during the summer.
