Student Association Agenda and Vision

Vision The Vision for the SA is to create the next generation of Rice leaders. We can do this by increased transparency, marketing, and overall communication with the student body. Also focusing on projects that impact the long term impression of student government.

How did we improve communication? 1. A brand new website. 2. Bought a recurring section of the Thresher. 3. Reorganized the layout of the SA 4. Student of the Month Legislation 5. “OPEN SA” folder 6. Open Meetings 7. 1:1 time with older exec members

What are we working on? 1. Advisory Board’s in Academic Departments 2. Focusing on Barriers faced by Low Income Students 3. Moving Forward with SUSE Results 4. Blanket Tax Initiative Fund 5. Campus Carry Legislation

How does this fit in with REF?

What do students want? 1. They want support and resources for their on campus initiatives. a. Very Appreciative for the matching of our initiative fund investment. 2.
