Smart Phones in the Classroom With the increase use of technology world wide, students should be allowed to use smart phones in the classroom for educational purposes only.

Smart Phones in the Classroom How can they be used? They are several ways smart phones can be used in the classroom, however four ways it can be used: To be Creative To Collaborate To Communicate Search for Information

To be Creative Students can: * Write using various apps such as Evernote. * Create Twitter parodies for discussing various information such as topics on the National Heroes and Geometric shapes. * Create mini-presentations, skits, or responses to a prompt, and the video to the teacher blog.

To Collaborate Students can use Smart Phones to peer-assess their classmates work through a Google Form embedded on the teachers page.

Communicate * Allow students to read from their smart phone during Silent Sustained Reading. * Allow student’s to video or audio record their assignment to the teacher. * Record lectures to be used at a later date. *Use instagram or twitter to display class projects.

Search for Information * Use dictionary and thesaurus apps. * View Blog posted by the teacher and make comments. * Compute and discover new ways to solve Mathematical problems. * Use YouTube to view educational videos.
