S-Curve Explained 1996 Introduction of first PDA 2001 Grants were given to 15 teachers in June and 104 teachers in September to incorporate PDAs in their curriculum. Also, in this year was the introduction of the first BlackBerry Research shows that educators are pushing the use of PDAs in the classroom PDA sales decline, SmartPhone sales increase. Research shows that non- educators are encouraging the use of PDAs in the classroom Research shows that educators are pushing the use of SmartPhones in the classrooms along with PDAs. Multiple software (including freeware) is available for SmartPhones to be used in the classroom Research show non-educators are encouraging SmartPhones in the classroom.
