It is reported that a new chemical works will be built here. Certainly, it is a good idea for developing economy. But on the other hand, it also causes a big problem. Firstly, many people don’t agree to build this works. It will pollute the drinking water though they have promised to do something to prevent pollution. Secondly, the smoke and the soot will bring lots of illness, which is dangerous for every one. Thirdly, the chemical works will be built where we students play games and have sports after school. If built, we will have no place for fun. Because of the above reasons, we hope that the chemical works won’t be built near our school.

Not only is space exploration the dream of all Chinese but also it could help us to join in the international competition. Space exploration is not only a dream that every Chinese have kept for a long time but also contribute to compete with other nations.

With the development of science technology, it won’t be long before the dream of space exploration comes true. The science technology makes it possible for China to carry out the space exploration. Space exploration becomes possible with the Chinese technology improving. It is the development of science technology that makes space exploration becomes possible. The science technology is developing rapidly, thus making the dream expected long-term by Chinese come true. Based on the development of China’s science technology, space exploration will become possible. It is helpful /beneficial for us to take part in the international competition.

China should fix her eyes on /focus on /concentrate on other social problems instead of space exploration which demands/needs /calls for/cost lots of money that she couldn’t afford, for China is a developing country. They came up with their view that China is a developing country, and we should put our eyes on the social problems. Senior 3 students in our school have different views on whether Senior 3 students to surf the Internet while busy preparing for the College Entrance Examination. Some think that Senior 3 students, though busy preparing for the College Entrance Examination, can benefit by surfing the Internet. They insist that surfing the Internet is a good way to gain the information needed, and what is better still, surfing the Internet can help them relax and enjoy life, which is especially important for a student of Senior 3. But some others hold an opposite opinion. They argue that the surfing of the Internet is not really necessary, since the College Entrance Examination is drawing near. Correcting Composition Dear Editor, I ’ m writing to tell you about the discussion we ’ ve had about whether the students of Senior 3 should take physical exercise. Opinions are divided on the question. About 55% of the students are in favor of this. They believe students should take exercise every day, such as playing Ping-pong ball, basketball and doing morning exercises. But it won ’ t take too much time. With the development of computer technology, the Internet has become more and more popular. Some students regard it as a great helper. Since there is a lot of information on line, you can surf the Internet for any information you need in a short time without working hard in the library. It is also very convenient to communicate with others by using the Internet. However, other students think that there is some information on line that is not good for the students. In addition, spending too much time playing games on line will not only have a bad effect on study but also do harm to our health. Therefore, we should make proper use of the Internet.

When we discuss about whether it is good to book a room for kids at a hotel near the school where the entrance exam will be taken, we have different opinions. About 75 % of my schoolmates think it unnecessary to do so as it really costs a lot, and actually it doesn't matter much where to stay when we take an exam. At the same time, we would feel even more pressed rather than relaxed with parents at our side. Meanwhile, the remaining quarter of the students prefer to stay in a hotel close to the school where we will take the exam if it is possible.
