Technical Operations Nutrition more visible in incoming administration Amended PD 491 to give more “teeth” to NNC; update focus to respond to emerging concern Functional NNC Governing Board Rationalized nutrition promotion program More policies and sustainable programs and more partners in nutrition A more conservative work plan to consider major intervening activities requested by partners and allow NNC to pursue agreed follow-through actions

Technical Operations More accountability of NNC Partners in PPAN implementation. NNC to establish/set framework, guideposts, and measures. A 10 pt agenda may help Better Implementation of Work and Financial Plan (WFP) Better management of individual projects – less intervening activities so can focus on major projects NNC is taking the lead in implementing First 1000 Days/ECCD Program Formulate, finalize, and approve the MTPPAN with corresponding regional plans approved also within the year Evaluate the IYCF Trainings (functionality of the IYCF team and breastfeeding support group)

Technical Operations NNC to be more visible in the LGUs in providing technical assistance (in terms of Nutrition Program Management specifically to LGUs with high prevalence of malnutrition, and non-functional LNCs) Specific focal person who will be assigned to the ECCD program so as not to affect routine activities Providing more technical assistance to BNSs and providing incentives to nutrition workers With NDRRMC to pass a guideline on the integration of nutrition in the Disaster and Management plans at all levels Clearer link and differentiation between the updated PPAN M&E system – the nutrition awards evaluation tool

Technical Operations Come up with a nutrition policy that will focus on Indigenous Peoples; culture-sensitive nutrition policies Intensified media campaign of nutrition messages for better recall of target groups NNC to get involved in work-life balance programs specifically related to health and nutrition. More BNSs for ARMM Additional incentives for NAOs, D/CNPCs and BNSs

Administrative Operations NNC to maintain ISO certification (including all regional offices) NNC as an organization to foster and cultivate open communication Additional staff at the regional level to improve performance (additional permanent staff in the coming years if possible) Training on procurement procedures of administrative staff A more purposive HRD Plan resulting from an organizational development process All vacant positions be filled up

Regional Operations Liquidation of funds transfer to regional offices particularly prior years unliquidated funds (Liquidation reports with COA receipt)
