The Milwaukee Mathematics Partnership (MMP), an initiative of the Milwaukee Partnership Academy (MPA), Content Goals  To deepen understanding of the CCSS Mathematical Practices.  To develop an understanding of the connections between the Mathematical Practices and MPS Comprehensive Literacy Plan  (CCSS Literacy Goals: technical component.)

The Milwaukee Mathematics Partnership (MMP), an initiative of the Milwaukee Partnership Academy (MPA), 2010 – 2011 Content Goals  To deepen mathematical content knowledge by exploring the Number Operations and Algebra Content Standards as found in the CCSS.  To provide a structure MTLs can use to increase the knowledge and understanding of classroom teachers around the CCSS Mathematical Practices as they relate to specific content standards.

(3.OA.6)

Read Mathematical Practice Standard #3 in your binder (p. 6). 2. Discuss the Practice with your table group. 3. Identify key ideas that help define this Practice. 4. Come to an understanding about what teachers need to plan and do to implement this Practice.
