Helpful hint !!!!!!!!!!! Some states requre different things, because elementary could be k – 6 in one state, and k – 5 in another! I will be discussing Georgia’s requirements because I do not plan on moving out of state.

In order to teach elementary school, you MUST have a Bachelors degree. You must have gone to college for 4 entire years to get this degree. Almost every school system requires this degree.

- Educational physiology - Elementary school science - Internships - High school career elective (education) - Volunteering

Some of the technology here at Buford, which I hope to teach at here one day, is used for example : IPods, I pads, laptops, ect. Buford is known for apple technology to help students with their academics and electives/specials.

Knowledge to know when teaching elementary, is shapes/figures, alphabet, counting, dividing, multiplying, somewhat of fractions, rounding, - Understanding how to spark student’s brain. - Helping students compromise ways to learn, when having trouble. - Promote student achievement - Boost student confidence to make believe in their self.

 Teamwork is a major factor in helping students learn. Many students seem to work easier and much better if in a group. Elementary teachers usually use fun activities with groups like out loud reading, counting games, with 2 or 3 students at a time. Teacher’s like to use strategies much like that for student’s learning purposes.

- Good communication skills - Knowing how people learn, in different ways. - Having good rapport with people - Patience, consideration, & empathy with students. - Good preparation, and planning skills. - Ability to make subjects interesting to others.
