Romare Bearden Romare Bearden is an American artist who created art during the 1900s. During his lifetime, he lived in several different cities in the U.S., spent 3 years in the army, and also lived in Europe.

Bearden’s travel adventures often inspired his artwork. He was also inspired by his love of music, especially jazz and the blues. He spent much of his time as a painter but he is most well known for his work with collages. Romare Bearden

Collage The word “collage” comes from the French word for glue. When an artist makes a collage, he or she glues lots of different pieces together to make one artwork.

Collage Collages can include many different kinds of materials such as magazines, newspapers, photos, colored papers, foils, plastics, and many other materials.
