SUSTAINBLE DEVELOPMENT

What lies ahead for tomorrow’s generation stands in our hands. That is what sustainable development represents. In the past 20 years we have come to realise that we should stop being selfish and irresponsible and start building a basis for a healthy environment. Many of our actions harm the Earth irreparably. We could easily change the actual situation only making a few simple steps.

Main issues Economic development Social issues Environmental protection Political involvement Cultural sustainability

Economic development Better use and distribution of resources Increasing the quality and the effectiveness of the production Improvements of technology and advantages of renewable sources of energy

Social, political and cultural sustainability are very important aspects of the sustainable development as humans are the centre of this concept. This is why, the major concern must be involving more persons in this process. Humanitarian aid and volunteering are ways of helping each other, encourage communication and raise awareness.
