Presentation transcript:

Equatorial and Tropical  People in an equatorial or tropical climate wear natural materials like cotton, linen and silk. They use light colors and wear long-sleeves to protect them from the elements.

 Savannah: People who live on the Savannah wear lightweight clothing with colors.  Desert: People in the desert wear lightweight material like cotton or linen.  These materials allow for perspiration.  They wear white or light colors in order to reflect the light.

Oceanic, Mediterranean and Continental Climates  People who live in these climates where many different types of clothing because of the change in temperatures during the year.

Polar and High Mountain Climates  People in cold climates wear fur, wool, warm shoes and boots.  These clothes help to insulate the heat.

Equatorial and Tropical  They eat fish, a variety of plants and small mammals, tubers and root crops.

 Savannah: They hunt and eat large animals like Zebra and Wild beast.  Desert: People who live in a dry, hot climate eat plants and seeds and focus on items that contain water.

Mediterranean and Oceanic  Because they live near a sea or ocean, they eat a lot of seafood and fish.

Continental  In a forest area, they eat seasonal plants like strawberries and peas. They also eat domesticated animals such as cows, sheep, pigs and chicken.

Polar and High Mountain  They eat fish, shellfish and land and sea mammals like seals.

 Savannah: The savannah has a wet and dry season.  Desert: A desert climate has cold nights and hot days. The temperatures are similar all year.

 Tropical: A tropical climate has a dry and water season and no real winter. They also have monsoons during the water season.  Equatorial: Equatorial climates are very hot and humid and have the same temperatures all year.

 Mediterranean: All of the seasons are very similar but it does have dry summers.  Oceanic: An oceanic climate has cool and wet summers and warm winters.

 Continental: Continental climates have 4 seasons: Summer, autumn, winter and fall.

Polar and High Mountain  Cold climates have very short summers and very long winters.
