- Ing : Progressive verbs: “I am talking to you right now” Adjective: “My friend Georgia is an interesting person” Noun: “I enjoy talking to you. Talking to you is fun.”
Gerund: It is a verb form used as a noun. (the “ing” form of a verb used as a noun). Nous are subjects of sentences. For example: Playing soccer is fun. Gerund can be used as the object of a preposition For example: I am tired of listening about Ebola. -Gerund ends in “ing” and acts as nouns. Gerund like to follow prepositions.(for,in,about,to…) Ex. I am interested in staying my mind free.
Gerund, infinitive and preposition “To” can act as Preposition or part of an Infinitive. Preposition- I waited to kicking the ball in the angle. Infinitive. I want to know you better. Using gerunds as the objects of prepositions People are educated in obeying because of the consequences.
