What is a friendly letter? A friendly letter is a letter that one friend or relative writes to another. It shares news, ideas, or special experiences. It is usually written in the informal language you would use with a friend.

How do I write a friendly letter? Transparency example 1.What are the five parts of a friendly letter? 2.Which part tells where the letter was written and the date? 3.Which part tells who will receive the letter? 4.Where can you find out what the letter is about? 5.Which part ends the letter? 6.Which part tells who wrote the letter?

Friendly Letter List 3 people you would like to write a letter to. List three interesting experiences you have had recently. Discuss your ideas with a classmate.

How do I write a friendly letter? Guidelines –Include the five parts: a heading, a greeting, a body, a closing, and a signature. –Use a friendly tone and informal language. Write as if you were talking to a person. –Tell events or other information. Keep it to the point. –Include exact words that will interest your reader. –End with a question or comment that encourages your reader to write back soon.
