TEACHER JOB AID Accessing the website. Type the following URL into your browser: Enter your user ID and password (write it here so you will always have it!)

TEACHER JOB AID Creating a mock student. Using the User ID and password provided on your training handout, log into the CAHSEE Revolution Prep website ( Enter fictitious information to create a mock student. Write down the name you choose here: User name: _____________ Password: ______________ Click update profile after you enter the information. Enter the scores for your fictitious student (found on the report in your training handout). If you did not have a report, you could just click Create Mentor Session and begin (this may occur with some students who don’t have a student report). After you enter the scores, click Create Mentor Session.

TEACHER JOB AID Completing a Mentor Session. Click BEGIN SESSION and try your hand at a couple of questions. You can take both the math and ELA portions. Complete several questions so you can get an idea of what your students will be required to do. Once you have completed several questions from each section, you can click view the progress report to see how you did. The progress report allows you to determine how well a student is progressing. Red colored percentages indicate that a student scored far below average. Orange colored percentages indicate that a student scored below average, and green colored percentages indicate that the student understands the concept. Refer to your teacher materials for more information on how to read the progress reports.

TEACHER JOB AID A MISSED QUESTION: LISTENING IN ENGLISH OR SPANISH. When a student answers a question incorrectly, he/she is taken to a new screen where he/she can listen to a review on the subject in either Spanish or English. To listen, the student will click the box where prompted. The computer must have speakers in order to listen to the review. Alternatively, the student can read the review in either English or Spanish. Once the student understands the concept presented in the review, he/she is prompted to respond to why he/she missed the problem in the first place. These responses are used to generate the reports at the end of the Mentor Sessions.

TEACHER JOB AID Assigning user IDs and passwords to your students. Once you have accessed the website, click the SITE TAB to view your Sections and students. To assign user names and passwords, click the Login Sheet and follow the directions below. If a student is already in the system, they already have a predefined user name and password (instead of a number). The CAHSEE coordinator will provide you with the user IDs and passwords. You will assign the user IDS and passwords to your students who do have not been predefined. They will be able to change their passwords after they register for a Mentor Session, but you will always have access to their passwords through the Login Sheet. It is recommended that your student write down his/her unique user ID number and change his/her password to something familiar. You should print a copy of all of the user IDs and passwords for your records. If you need additional user IDs and passwords, please contact the CAHSEE coordinator. You cannot remove user IDs and passwords once a Mentor Session has begun. Otherwise, you can assign the user ID to another student.

Click on Assign Students. Adding a student to a class. Locate your student’s name and click the right arrow to add the student to your section. Students assigned to you will appear in this box. Once a student is assigned to your section, you can view the students’ data, user ID, password, and run reports. View user IDs and passwords by clicking View Login Sheet. View the report for this student by clicking here. TEACHER JOB AID
