Big Ten Student Government Research Number of election days by school Purdue University ●Election Committee- sole purpose of promoting and organizing all resources needed for elections ●Committee works with different orgs. to tap into different markets University of Michigan ●Candidates run with parties ○ MVP (Michigan Vision Party) Indiana University ●Currently going through overhaul as it reforms its centralized student government committee ●Main goal moving forward- more outreach

Survey: Conclusion ●Awareness: ○ Improve awareness of UPUA’s responsibilities on campus ●Social Media: ○ High volume of students with access to Facebook ○ Improve the amount of these students accessing UPUA’s Facebook Page ●Webpage: ○ Increase the amount of student’s who access the UPUA webpage ○ Ensure that everyone who accesses it finds it “very easy” to navigate
Problems We Have Encountered... ● Updated website post spring break o Similar revisions to what we were proposing ● Early communications with UPUA president indicate change in direction of project o New election means new executive board o Implementation of plan is not realistic

Strategy for addressing these problems Due to the unrealistic time frame, we as consultants have opted to create a training package that will allow the new UPUA marketing executives to take our ideas and implement them for Fall 2015

● Week of March 22nd- Initial contact with UPUA/ Allow UPUA to review proposal ● Week of March 29th - Receive feedback from UPUA and create initial survey ● Week of April 5th - Preliminary research and create draft of training package ● Week of April 12th - Receive feedback on training package and make appropriate revisions ● Week of April 19th - Continued research on social media and website with updates to training package ● Week of April 26th - Deliverables due Updated Schedule
