Presentation transcript:

 Owning a dog encourages a healthy lifestyle. You have to walk your dog, by doing this you are getting exercise.

 Happiness. Owning a dog bring everyone joy!  They can help aid depression. Having a dog around makes peoples mood better. Knowing somebody loves us unconditionally can give us a reason to get up and keep going.

 They can detect seizures before they happen. Some dogs can be trained to warn epilepsy patients that they are going to have a seizure before it happens.  They can reduce your risk of heart problems. Research by the American Heart Association has showed that people who own dogs have a less risk of having heart problems. This is because they get more exercise than non- dog owners.

 They can comfort kids with autism. Children with autism often think the world is a stressful place. Having a dog around can make the kids have less stress.  They can help veterans overcome PTSD. Dogs can help people with PTSD be less angry, come out of their shells and become more social.

In conclusion, I learned that there are a lot of benefits of owning dogs. I also learned that they can help people who have different disabilities. They are very smart animals because of their numerous different senses.
