Topic For example: Pennsylvania History A unit topic could be titled Coal Mining in Pennsylvania

Goal & Objectives Describes what learners should accomplish The goal would be Students will develop an understanding of the economic impact of coal mining in Pennsylvania The objectives could be… Students will be able to explain the types of coal found in Pennsylvania Students will be able to list the cities noted for their coal production. Etc….

Content Outline Specifies the material to be covered in as much detail as possible For example in the coal unit... The difference between anthracite and bituminous coal.
