Thriving communities, affordable homes GTSG delivery within the HCA  HCA took over the programme at start of 09/10  Part of the Affordable Housing Delivery team Gypsy & Traveller Site Grant National Affordable Housing Programme Places of Change  Delivered through our nine regional teams  Each region has a regional rep for GTSG  Key priority for Single Conversation process

Thriving communities, affordable homes The future…  Local investment plans –SC process encourages LAs to consider sites alongside other developments  Mainstreaming delivery through wider Affordability and Accessibility programme –Increase involvement of RSLs –Delivery of supported housing as a priority in the National Affordable Housing Programme is a successful model –Socio-economic duty for public bodies and high profile of delivery within SC process ensure delivery won’t drop off the radar

Thriving communities, affordable homes The future…  Standards for Gypsy & Traveller sites to be included in new HCA design standards for specialist housing  Continuing to encourage new procurement models  Monitoring of delivery of GTSG allocations –Building evidence base of costs, successful delivery models etc –Able to ensure if grant is invested then site is delivered to the size and standard described in the bid
