TARDINESS POLICY If you are tardy… 1 st time- Warning 2 nd time- 15 minute detention 3 rd time- 30 minute detention and call home 3

GUM CHEWING POLICY 1 st time- Warning 2 nd time- 15 minute detention 3 rd time- 30 minute detention 4 th time-Scrape gum from under desks for 30 minutes and phone call home. 4

CLASSROOM RULES! Be respectful to everyone and everything! Be responsible! Be fair! 5

PRINTING POLICY NEVER NEVER print without permission. BEFORE Printing is a one shot deal. Check your work for completion BEFORE hitting the print button. You only get one chance! 6

Bathroom Policy  BEGINNING of class– take the girls or boys pass by the door. Leave your books at your desk.  DURING class – you MUST ask permission, then take the pass as well as sign out and sign back in at the clipboard by the door.  EXCEPTION – If you are going to be sick. Just go and we will talk later! 7

GRADING POLICY NO PENALTY All missing work can be handed in up to two weeks after the due date with NO PENALTY. 8

NOISE POLICY whisper Many of the projects in this class are independent. Unless you are working on a partner project or the directions state otherwise, it is expected that you keep talking to a minimum. If you must talk, you are expected to whisper. 9

Some Friendly Reminders: Always put your name and team on EVERYTHING! Always save to MY DOCUMENTS! Always check your work for completion before you turn in! If you are unsure of something, ASK! Always save your files as your last name then the assignment! Example: Wyka-About me Always hand in a PBLA slip with your assignment! (as applicable) 10

Milford School’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) 13

“User” means any person authorized to access the School District’s computer systems or networks. 14 “Users” are expected to follow all guidelines stated as well as those given verbally by staff or administration.

Access is a privilege, not a right, and that access requires responsibility. 15

16 The use of the Internet by students is for research and other educational purposes as assigned by the teacher. No , AIM, Music or Internet games

17 Activities not permitted include, but are not limited to:

DO NOT 1. Send or display offensive messages or pictures 18

DO NOT 3. Harass, insult, or attack others 20

DO NOT 4. Damage the computers, computer systems or computer networks 21

DO NOT 5. Violate copyright laws (YOU must cite all sources!) 22

DO NOT 6. Use others’ passwords 23

DO NOT 7. Trespass in others’ folders, work or files 24

DO NOT 8. Intentionally waste limited resources (time, paper, and toner) 25

DO NOT 9. Conduct business related activities 26

DO NOT 10. Engage in illegal activities 27

DO NOT 11. Load or download screensavers, games, graphics/multimedia utilities, or other prohibited software applications onto school computers 28

DO NOT 12. HACK-“Hacking” of any kind is not allowed. 29

13. Sign up for any promotions, catalogs, messages, or anything else on the Internet that requires your name or anyone else’s name and/or address, age or other personal information DO NOT 30

Policy Violations 31 Any actions that might harm the computer equipment, software, data, another user, the Internet, or that show disregard for the proper procedures set up for network access WILL NOT be tolerated. The Milford School District reserves the right to refuse access to the Internet, to anyone it deems is necessary in the public’s best interest.

Policy Violations 32 Violation of this policy will result in a temporary or permanent ban from Computer or Internet use. Additional disciplinary actions may be added in line with existing practice on inappropriate language or behavior, including termination of employment of School District employees or contractors. When applicable, police or local authorities may be involved.

Policy Violations 33 Further, any users of the School District’s policy and who intentionally damage the computer or network shall assume legal and financial liability for such damage.

DISTRICT POLICY 34 Policy must be signed if you are going to use the school computers.
