THE RULES OF WRITING

THE “RULES” OF WRITING ARE EVERYWHERE!

RULES = FOUNDATION & BUILDING BLOCKS  There are accepted rules of grammar, punctuation and usage that need to be followed.  Practice writing…  Revise and edit with rules in mind…  Get some help from a peer or me – don’t edit in isolation!

SMALL GROUP ACTIVITY  Each group will receive an article about aspects of quality writing, proper grammar and how to improve your writing.  Break the reading down - each person takes a piece.  Highlight, underline, take notes  Group will decide how to teach the class this info.  Visual Needed  Handout or Note taking Format Needed  Classmates need to participate in your lesson activity.  We will work on this into next week, as well. Due date: 3/20
