My Hero Presentations by Mrs Bonney’s Class Lynnwood Elementary Spring 2008

Harriett Tubman by Chalon Harriet Tubman ran away from slavery an into freedom and was hit with a 2 lb brick when she was trying to escape. She helped other slave escape through the underground railroad Harriet Tubman was a hero because she led over 300 slaves to safety and not one got caught. She was very proud of all of them. She established the route that helped other slaves escape from the south to gain their freedom in the north.

The Wright Brother by Ana Brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright built and flew the first airplane called Kitty Hawk in December 1903 The Wright Brothers were heroes because they invented the first airplane and made the first engine for the plane. I chose these heroes because they invented what I like.
