English III—September 11, 2015 Daily Warm-up: If you were accused of witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials, what would be your transgression? – For example: I would probably be accused of killing my neighbor’s cat (I hate cats, and I say “I hate cat’s” a lot). Homework: – Reading Plus due Sunday at 11:59. – Study for Lesson 5 Quiz on Friday.

English III Lesson 5 Vocabulary Alleviate- v.- make (suffering, deficiency, or a problem) less severe Arduous- adj.- involving or requiring strenuous effort; difficult and tiring. Belittle- v.- make (someone or something) seem unimportant. Disparage -v.- regard or represent as being of little worth.
