Self - Awareness Why be concerned about self- awareness?

What is Self-Awareness?  It refers to one’s understanding of one’s individuality; including an understanding of one’s: Personality Strengths and Weaknesses Emotional Development Multiple Intelligence Attitudes Beliefs etc.

Self-Awareness  Simply means asking yourself the following questions: What do I like to do? What activities do I find fun, motivating, interesting and enjoyable. What skills and abilities do I have or want to develop? What personal style or characteristics do I have that is important to me in the workplace? What purpose or goal do I want to accomplish in my career?

Why Be Concerned About Self-Awareness?  Understanding your strengths and weaknesses can ultimately help you achieve your personal life and career goals.  Assessing yourself also builds your confidence.  It helps you prepare for specific situations but also helps you keep track of the skills you are developing and identify areas for improvement.

Who Am I Now?  What am I good at?  Where will I be happiest?  What am I capable of?  What deep inside, is the strongest thing about me?

How Well Do You Know Yourself Right Now?  This is an important question to ask yourself every day. It will help you focus on the person you want to become and this begins the process of self-assessment.
