You will notice much of it is redundant of a business plan. Simply focus on the Four P’s, covering the elements not covered elsewhere in the business plan. This is the “meat’ of your plan! See following pages for details on each area.

Marketing Plan details A.Marketing Overview Write this last. It should be a one paragraph that introduces your marketing plan to potential investors. Sell that you have an innovative and sound plan to market your business to your target market. B.Marketing Objectives Identify your specific target market (demographics, psychographics, geographics) here. Discuss your initial goals for business launch and sales goals. C.Strategy Be specific and about each aspect (continued on next page) 1.Advertising 2.Promotion 3.Public Relations D.Sales Methods

Marketing Plan details cont. 1.Advertising Describe in detail your advertising plan. What will your ad campaign look like, what will it say and what media choices will you use. Keep in mind costs and budget! 2.Promotion Outline your Consumer and/or Trade promotions. On classroom web site, PowerPoints from Marketing I-II are posted showing the Consumer and Trade Promotion options you have. Be specific in your choices and explain why you are choosing them. 3.Public Relations If you’re planning on public relations campaign to roll out your business, outline your strategy in detail here. A.Sales Methods Share anything unique regarding sales strategies here. This could be the look/feel of your entry area, specific sales tactics your sales team will use, or any other strategy that is unique.
