Purpose The purpose of this assignment is to provide students with the challenge of creating an informative presentation about their problem- solution topic. The presentation should inform and teach the audience about the problem and several possible solutions. In the end, you want to persuade your audience that your problem is an important one to solve.

Purpose of today’s lab time: 1.Find a wide variety of images, charts, pictures, graphs, (any visual) and video clips that you would be able to use in a presentation about your problem-solution topic. These images, charts, etc. should be functional, not decorative! You should find more images and videos than you think you will need; it’s always helpful to have many options to choose from once you begin creating the presentation. Keep track of the bibliographic information for all of the visuals you find! 2. Learn how to use tubechop.com to create a 30 second video clip for your presentation.

Bibliographic Information for a film/movie: The title. Director. Producer. Book and author the movie is based off. Company that distributes the film, and year of release. Examples: Titanic. In your presentation, you will include a 30 second video clip as a hook. This website will allow you to cut videos to 30 seconds. (It’s a good technology skill to have for college too.) Computer Lab expectations You may sit near your group members as long as you are getting work done. Follow the written directions carefully and exactly. Be a problem-solver today. See if you can figure it out before you ask someone for help. I will be checking your google doc folder, so make sure you are saving your images in the English 12 folder as the directions state. Work until the bell rings. DO NOT pack up early. Give all direction sheets back to me before you leave for the day.
