In your notebook: What is the U.S. Navy about?
The mission of the United States Navy is to maintain, train and equip combat-ready Naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression and maintaining freedom of the seas.
The U.S. Navy symbol. U.S. Navy Solider are called Sailor. The U.S. Navy has been serving America since 1775.
1. Be between 17 and 39 years of age. 2. Be a U.S. citizen or legal, permanent resident. 3. Have a high school diploma. 4. Pass an Aptitude Test and Physical Test
Basic Military Training is an extremely challenging experience both physically and mentally. Enlisted recruits head off to Boot Camp at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Illinois. It is 8 week program that includes conditioning, marching, drilling, and attending classes.
Once you finish Basic Training you will do either Officer Candidate School or Officer Development School. Either program last up to 12 weeks. Which can start you on your future career track.
