Presentation transcript:

 LT: I can analyze a video on the Agricultural Revolution and evaluate the effects of the revolution in order to determine whether the Agricultural revolution was ‘good’. ET: Was the Agricultural Revolution (domestication of plants and animals) good? Why or why not?

 A YouTube channel  Many different playlists about different topics in history  Teach ‘courses’ on historical events that are from minutes long  A LOT of info in those min

 A man named John Green  He wrote a rather famous book recently that many of you have read…  The Fault in Our Stars  He also has taught World History, American History, & some literature classes

 Watch Episode 1 in the World History playlist  About Agricultural Revolution  Why do you think he is choosing to begin the Course for World History with an episode on the Agricultural revolution? (Why is this the starting point?)

 The first time we watch it, I just want you to watch o No notes o Just experience it (he is pretty funny)  He speaks really fast and the animations go by fast. o I put subtitles on so its easier to understand what he says

 Now that you’ve viewed the episode once…  Work with a partner to discuss the prompts on the worksheet.  When we watch it again, try to answer the questions as we watch.  I’ll pause it when necessary.

 Was the agricultural revolution really a ‘revolution’? What makes a revolution?  Was the agricultural revolution ‘good’? Find evidence for both sides of the argument.
