What is Project Pirate? Project pirate is a before, after and summer school program that provides Instructional Support, Enrichment, Parent Involvement, and Behavioral Support for select Middle and High School Students.

Morning Session  Monday – Thursday 30 minutes before school starts.  Teachers review homework and help study for upcoming tests.

Evening Session  Monday - Thursday  Snack time 3:15 – 3:30 p.m.  Teachers and paraprofessionals help students with their homework from 3:30 – 4:00 p.m.

Instruction / Enrichment  4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Classes rotate every 30 minutes.  Middle School Subjects are Math, Science, Social Studies, ELA, P.E., and Art.

Students at Work and Play

High School Instruction  Computer based learning.  Students work on individual subjects unique to their specific needs.  Students work at their own pace so that material covered is mastered.

Unique Components Credit Recovery Mechanism Particular attention given to sixth grade students and eighth grade students going to ninth grade. Addresses graduation rate Open to other providers that request or are recruited to provide enrichment

Transportation  Students are provided bus transportation home.  Buses load at 6:00 p.m.  Car students are picked up in front of the bus loading area.
