Student should ask themselves: What are my goals for after graduation? Then: Consider past performance/grades in each subject area. Review your student’s Four-Year Academic Plan. Consider college entrance requirements for schools of interest. Play to strengths when choosing classes. Strike a BALANCE between challenging course selection and ability to be successful in classes while improving GPA. SCHEDULING TIMELINE Upcoming Dates (all students) May 2016 – Students will review their course requests. June 3, 2016 – Last day to make changes to course requests. August 1 - 5, 2016 – Schedule pick-up and changes as needed. Once school begins, students will be permitted to make changes for placement purposes only. For example, if a student needs to change from an Advanced course to the regular class or from an AP to a regular course. September 2, 2016 – Last day for schedule changes.
