AP Biology TUESDAY 2/2

Welcome! Please have out the following…  Yesterday’s Blood Type notes (if you didn’t turn them in).  If you did, they will be passed back momentarily.  Please address the following question on the bottom of the back of this handout…  Parents with B blood and A blood are concerned when the baby they take home from the hospital has O blood. Show them using a Punnett square that IS possible this could be their child. Offer a short explanation.

Sex-Linked Traits AP BIOLOGY

It’s test time!!! THAT’S RIGHT…I’M A MEAN TEACHER!

Colorblindness Tests Everyone sees 25 Colorblind can’t see 29 Colorblind can’t see 6 Everyone sees 56

What number do you see? The individual with normal color vision will see a 5 revealed in the dot pattern. An individual with Red/Green (the most common) color blindness will see a 2 revealed in the dots.

Sex-Linked Traits

Comparing X and Y

Examples of Sex Linked Traits  Male Pattern Baldness  Hemophilia  Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy  Colorblindness
