Guidelines for Citation Can I perform research using relevant evidence and citing to avoid plagiarism?

In-Text Citations When you are using in-text citations, you have two basic methods of doing so: –Include the author’s name in the sentence and then cite only the page number at the end Example: In “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe, the narrator states, “You fancy me mad” (82). –Include the author’s name and page number only in the in-text citation at the end Example: In “The Tell-Tale Heart” the narrator states, “You fancy me mad (Poe 82).

Your Research Project Each piece of information in your research project must have an in-text citation!!!!!!!

In-Text Citation Format for Different Types of Sources Print Source: –If one author– (Poe 9) –If more than one author– (Roger and Ebert 9) –If there is no author, then cite the article title– (“What Video Games Can Teach Us” 4)

In-Text Citation Format for Different Types of Sources Online Source: –If the author is known, then cite the author name– (McPherson) –If the author is unknown, then cite the article or webpage title (“A Brief Overview of the American Civil War”)
