The purpose of this project is for you to integrate multiple sources of information about a single person to: * Explain the person’s positive impact on others, * Describe their accomplishments, and * Connect the person’s development to their accomplishments/impact.

Your person of focus must have the following attributes: * He/she must have a significant, positive impact on a large number of people. * He/she must have AT LEAST three verifiable text sources that you will read. One may be a book that he/she has written. * He/she must have AT LEAST two verifiable digital resources that you will read. * Complete the STEP 1 Proposal found on the my AVID page on the SFHS website, and submit it for approval.

The next step is to read all of the material that will help accomplish the purpose of the assignment: * Take notes in two-column format * page and paragraph on the left (and specific words, if they capture an idea especially well) * Analysis/interpretation on the right * Identify any other people or resources that this person said were especially important; you will need to research them as well!

Write the paper. * 5 pages in length (+ 1 cover page, +1 bibliography) Use proper citations and create a bibliography. * You are using MLA format for this project. * All ideas and text MUST be cited.

Create a PowerPoint presentation. * At least 10 content slides * At least 4 image slides Deliver the presentation. * You will have minutes to present the content * All ideas and text MUST be cited.
