Examples are palaces, temples, gardens, residential houses, and assembly halls. Some have curved roof ends, pillars, and can be pagodas.

How long is the history of timber-framed structure? About 2000-1400 years old

At what occasion people light fire- crackers when they build a house? When the foundation is laid, the doors are installed, or the beams are positioned.

Why do they light fire-crackers? To expel ghosts and devils.

What were the forms Chinese people pass the skills of craftsmanship to younger generations? Masters hand down the forms to their apprentices through examples and oral instructions. Beijing, Shanxi, Huijiu, Sujiu schools where popular when timber-frame structures came about.

Is the timber framed structures still in used in China? Yes, it is used in modern day, and there are classes and schools for it.

Architecture in China

Architectures I like I like Pavilions (Ting 亭) because of how poised and elegant they look. They have the curved ends of the roofs and pillars. They normally reside in areas with a lot of nature. They are very decorated, and the pillars are normally red.

Architectures I like I also like the Storeyed Pavilion (Ge 閣) because of how magnificent and beautiful they are. They tower over other buildings, and normally sit on a platform with stairs one must climb. They have upturned, curved roof ends, and are multiple stories high.
