Charles CHARACTER TYPES AND MOTIVATIONS

Setting: Where: It takes place in the kindergarten class and in Laurie’s home at the lunch table. When: It takes place during the months of September and early October.

Conflict: 1)Laurie tells them about Charles, who is always acting up in class. 2) Laurie’s parents worry that Charles is being a bad influence of Laurie.

Event 1 Laurie comes home at lunchtime after his first day of Kindergarten. Event 2 Charles hit the teacher so he was spanked. Event 3 Charles hit a girl in the head with a see-saw and had to stay after school.

Event 4 Charles was so loud that a first grader had to come in and tell him to be quiet. Event 5 Charles had to stay after so all the kids stayed after with him. Event 6 Charles won’t do the exercises and kicks the teacher’s friend.

Outcome 1)The teacher says there is no Charles in the class 1)She also says that Laurie has had trouble adjusting but now is a fine helper
