Providing the Perfect Indoor Environment for Your Clients Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems Delivered by: David McHugh MD ProAir Systems

Introduction to ProAir Systems Only manufacturer of HRV units for the residential sector in the Republic of Ireland.

The Ideal Indoor Environment Is one that is:  Comfortable  Healthy  Energy Efficient

So What Are The Ways Of Achieving This? Using a technology known as a Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) system. This is a system which uses the heat of air going out of a building to warm the air coming in. It recovers the heat from the air leaving the service areas and transfers it to the air entering the living areas.

How Does HRV Work?

Is It Efficient? Fresh 0 o C Exhaust 2 o C Supply air 19 o C Extract air 20 o C

Why Should You Use HRV?  Compliment your standard energy efficiency measures  Reduce inconvenient and expensive call – backs  Condensation control

Mould Prevention Warm and Dry vs Cold and Damp Average RH levels in Ireland are 88%

Are There Any Downsides To HRV? Units can be:  Noisy  Use a lot of energy  Badly controlled If they are wrongly selected, designed and installed

What is the correct way?

Typical HRV System Layout

In The Perfect Indoor Environment You should not:  Hear the system  See the system  Feel the system

Can We Also Heat Houses?

What's In The Pipeline?  The PA100  PAICCS  Drying rooms

HRV Bespoke Applications  Community Centres  Swimming Pools  Schools  Sports Applications
