Introduction Are you interested in building your own chair? Do you want to be able to make an informed decision before building your chair? Task After completion of this Webquest, you will have been introduced to different styles, types of hardwoods, and different types of connections also known as wood joints. When complete you will be able to decide on what type of chair that you will build. Step Three Connection Techniques There are multiple ways of joining wood together. It is important to choose joints that will be structurally sound as well as aesthetically pleasing. Look over your notes on wood joints compare and decide which types of of joints would be good for each connection of the different types of chairs that you like. Illustrate ideas so that you are able to show the teacher what your ideas for the chair will be. Narrow down your selection and show graphics of two or three chairs that you would like build.
