Infrastructure for Technology

General Findings Affecting All Areas  Average 32% teacher turnover each of the three years analyzed  Teachers do not fully understand the response selections on the survey  Technology funding from grant sources increased 2007 and 2008 instructional years  Technology funding will decrease by 31% in instructional year

General Findings Affecting All Areas  Computers are not capable of efficiently running newest technology (TI-Navigator, Response Clickers, notepads, etc.)  Bandwidth requirements outpacing capabilities  Reduced funding for aides and substitutes limiting ability to participate in professional development opportunities

Recommendations  Add additional T1 line  Upgrade to newest versions of software  Continue replacing computers utilizing REAP funds  Survey teachers to determine any additional hardware and/or software needs  Train teachers on use of current hardware and software

Recommendations  Train teachers on response selections on survey  Increase number of computers and LAN/WAN connections in each classroom  Investigate available online professional development and provide access to teachers  Increase amount of time allotted to MTT for instructional support
