Explanation Present Market: Food ban, decrease in demand (50- 60%), and decrease in supply by 1/3 amount. Price remains same, therefore excess of product on supermarket shelves. Tones of Maggi dumped due to ban worth of 32 million pounds. Prediction – If food ban lifts, Maggi’s demand will increase (1.5x) again due to its popularity amongst the young ones, and its supply would significantly increase from 2/3 to original rate of production.
