TOOTING UNITED REFORMED CHURCH Sunday 4 October 2015

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart; I will enter His courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice for He has made me glad.He has made me glad, He has made me glad, I will rejoice for He has made me glad. He has made me glad, I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

God is love, let heaven adore him; God is love, let earth rejoice; let creation sing before him and exalt him with one voice. He who laid the earth's foundation, He who spread the heav'ns above, He who breathes through all creation: He is love, eternal love.

God is love; and love enfolds us, all the world in one embrace; his unfailing grasp is holding, ev'ry child of ev'ry race. And when human hearts are breaking under sorrow's iron rod, that same sorrow, that same aching wrings with pain the heart of God.

God is love; and though with blindness sin afflicts and clouds the will,, God's eternal loving-kindness holds us fast and guides us still. Sin and death and hell shall never o'er us final triumph gain: God is love, so love forever o'er the universe must reign.

PSALM 8 FOR THE DIRECTOR OF MUSIC. ACCORDING TO GITTITH. A PSALM OF DAVID. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned them with glory and honour.

You made him rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,

the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

BLESS YOU! Introduction to the theme

Father, I place into Your hands The things that I can't do. Father, I place into Your hands The times that I’ve been through. Father, I place into Your hands The way that I should go, For I know I always can trust You.

Father, I place into Your hands My friends and family. Father, I place into Your hands The things that trouble me. Father, I place into Your hands The person I would be, For I know I always can trust You.

Father, we love to see Your face, We love to hear Your voice. Father, we love to sing Your praise And in Your name rejoice. Father, we love to walk with You And in Your presence rest, For we know we always can trust You.

MARK 10: 2-16 Divorce The Little Children and Jesus

Lord, for the years your love has kept and guided, urged and inspired us, cheered us on our way, sought us and saved us, pardoned and provided: Lord for the years, we bring our thanks today.

Lord, for that word, the word of life which fires us, speaks to our hearts and sets our souls ablaze, teaches and trains, rebukes us and inspires us: Lord of the word, receive your people's praise.

Lord, for our land in this our generation, spirits oppressed by pleasure, wealth and care: for young and old, for commonwealth and nation, Lord of our land, be pleased to hear our prayer.

Lord, for our world where we disown and doubt you, loveless in strength, and comfortless in pain, hungry and helpless, lost indeed without you: Lord of the world, we pray that Christ may reign.

Lord for ourselves; in living power remake us- self on the cross, and Christ upon the throne, past put behind us, for the future take us: Lord of our lives, to live for Christ alone.

HOW DO WE LIVE TOGETHER?

INTERCESSIONS Oh Lord, hear my prayer When I call, answer me Oh Lord, hear my prayer Come and listen to me

Lord Jesus Christ you have come to us You are one with us, Mary's Son. Cleansing our souls from all their sin pouring Your love and goodness in Jesus our love for you we sing, living Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ now and every day Teach us how to pray, Son of God. You have commanded us to do this in remembrance Lord of you Into our lives your power breaks through, living Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ, you have come to us Born as one of us, Mary's Son. Led out to die on Calvary, risen from death to set us free, living Lord Jesus help us see You are Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ we would come to you live our lives for you, Son of God. All your commands we know are true, your many gifts will make us new, into our life your power breaks through, living Lord.

You shall go out with joy and be led forth in peace, and the mountains and the hills shall break forth in singing. There'll be shouts of joy, and the trees of the field shall clap, shall clap their hands; and the trees of the field shall clap their hands, and you'll go out with joy.
