Time Capsule Project due Friday, February 14, 2013 A time capsule is a container that holds items representative of life at a given place and time. Items for your time capsule need to represent the most important story elements from your historical fiction novel.

You will need a lunch sack or small box (shoe or cereal). The outside of your sack or box should be decorated to represent your novel. You must include at least 5 artifacts in your time capsule that represent the following story elements: Main characters Setting (time and place) Problem/conflict Major event in your novel Theme

Written Report Your written report will consist of two things: 1. A complete summary of your novel, using “Can The People Pet An Elephant” to create a complete and accurate summary. 2. A list of your 5 artifacts…with descriptions how each one relates to your historical fiction novel.
