 Family name is group 14  Physical – can have a crystal structure. Creates four covalent bonds to form whatever it wants.  Chemical – has many different allorpes. Graphite burns to from gaseous carbon.  It is what makes your soda bubble.

 Purifies water that is dirty.  It is the stuff that makes your soda exploded and makes it fizz.  A diamond is just pure carbon.
