What is a Food Chain? A food chain show the feeding relationships between organisms in an ecosystem. Producers HerbivoresCarnivores Decomposers

Producers Plants get their food from the sun’s energy and act as a source of food for other organisms in an ecosystem

Consumers A plant or animal that gets its energy (food) from other living things.

Herbivores An animal that eats plants rather than other animals.

Carnivores An animal that eats meat.

Decomposers An organism, like bacteria, that breaks down dead plant or animal matter and releases their nutrients back into the soil.
