TYPES OF UNIT TRUST MONEY MARKETUMBRELLA TRUST BALANCED FUND  Investment – government bonds, fixed deposits, treasury bills and commercial paper  Short term investment  Returns - interest received monthly  Unit price remains static yield changes on a daily basis  Low risk – safe parking place, ideal during times of stock market turbulence  Invests in accordance with the investment guidelines of the URBRA.  Suitable for small to medium sized pension schemes & personal pension plans.  The fund will have a bias towards fixed income securities  The fund will have a low risk profile  0% Initial fee  2% annual management fee  Investment - equities(30%), interest bearing assets(70%)  Recommended period 3 to 5 years  Returns - dividends and interest paid quarterly  Unit price - changes daily, underlying movement of shares held determine unit price  Medium risk - Suitable for medium risk investors and offers medium term growth.

GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE  The Trustee (Standard chartered bank) - Acts as the representative to the unit holders, monitors and ensures that all transactions in the fund are carried out in accordance with the law  The Fund Manager (UAPFS) - Invests the portfolio across various asset classes and will use his market knowledge and expertise to give superior rate of return.  The custodian (Standard chartered bank) - Safeguard the assets of the unit trust. The custodian is regulated by the bank of Uganda.  The Auditor (PWC) - Will check and audit the unit trust operations on an annual basis to further enhance your security as investors.  The Regulators - The funds are regulated by the Capital Markets Authority and the Uganda Retirement Benefits Regulatory Authority

STOCK BROKERAGE A STOCK is a unit of ownership in a company. UAP FS helps companies and individuals to buy or sell shares across the East African region.
