Mesozoic Age E- task By Maekayla Tran 4 RED

Triassic period Plants Animals Desmatosuchus is an extinct reptile that lived over 200 million years ago. Fabrosaurus is a small plant eating dinosaur from South Africa Gerrothorax is an amphibian ancient amphibian that lived over 200 million years ago. Plants Horsetails were an important source of nutrition for plant eating dinosaurs. Leptocycas was a cycad, a primitive seed plant from the late Triassic period Glossopteris is a tree-like seed fern from the Permian through the Triassic period.

Jurassic period Plants WilliamSonia sewardiana was a cycadeoidphyte (a bennettitalean). It had a long, thin, woody stem and simple leaves. Most wild ferns prefer a moist woodland habitat with high humidity. However, there are ferns suited for all environments from rock cliffs to swampy bogs. Mosses are simple and ancient plants that have survived nearly unchanged since the Permian period. Animals A cryptoclidus is a large swimming reptile also known as a plesiosaur. A Incythosaurus An extinct marine reptile from the time of the dinosaurs - not a dinosaur. A Ramphorhynchus is a flying, fish-eating reptile with a long tail; it lived during the late Jurassic period.

Cretaceous period Plants Animals These slow-growing evergreen trees and shrubs probably constituted the majority of the herbivorous dinosaurs' diet. Ginkgo leaves, fruits and stem Ginkgoes are often planted in cities. Herbivores usually eat the ginkgo leaves from trees. Animals A hadrosaurus is a duck billed plant eating dinosaur during the late cretaceous period . A parasaurohlophus is along-crested plant-eating dinosaur . A stygimoloch is a plant-eater with many horns and bumps on its skull.
