What do dystopian novels in society make people think about the hunger games? (effects on the novels on society)

" The success of the Hunger Games certainly inspired editors to be open to dystopian, and, how that many great (and not so great) dystopian books have been published they're not looking for anymore." It convinced a lot of people that young adult novels could be important and serious books.

Dystopian novels make people think of war, death, despair(loss of hope), violence and constant suspense. Many people like suspenseful books as well books with a lot of violence.
